Your Club Secretary first became interested in American Folk Music when aged about 7, after hearing the likes of Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee at Cambridge Folk Festival. I first heard Tom Paley, when he was booked in Harlow in 1979, by my good friend Bob Gale, along with Joe Locker, Robbin McKidd and the legendary Jean Ritchie.
