Rory Ellis - 5 June 2004

Over from Victoria, Australia, during his first tour of the UK, Rory was invited by Attila to join a gig with himself and Robb Johnson at Victoria Hall, Old Harlow. In 2005 Rory has taken the UK by storm with gigs up and down the country, some with Attila but most as the headline act. It's not hard to see why. To call him a singer-songwriter is a considerable under-statement. This is accoustic music as it should be played: with rock-steady rhythm beaten out of the guitar and a booming yet tender voice that reaches your very bones.

Rory's story of a police raid on the Union Hotel, Victoria, where he was working at the time, is reminiscent of Dylan's call for justice for the mighty Hurricane.

To try and catch Rory again before Xmas, please email the Secretary.
